INSTALLATION

  • • Yes — it installs using conventional flooring practices

    • Tongue-and-groove edges for rapid alignment

    • Installed using construction adhesive plus screws or nails

    • No levelling compound required due to tight manufacturing tolerances

  • • Smooth side faces up

    • Rough (mesh-reinforced) side faces down onto joists

  • • Up to 600 mm centres depending on design load

    • 450 mm centres are ideal and commonly used

  • • Continuous 6 mm bead of approved construction adhesive on all joists

    • Mechanical fixing at ≤200 mm centres

    • Minimum 4 fasteners per board width at each joist

  • • Yes

    • Boards must be kept dry and protected from ponded water

    • Installed boards must be covered until waterproofed or finished

    • Final finish must be applied within 90 days

STRENGTH & STRUCTURAL PERFORMANCE

  • • Yes

    • Independently tested and certified to NCC/BCA Deemed-to-Satisfy requirements

    • Complies with AS/NZS 1170.1 Table 3.1 floor loadings

  • • >20 MPa (dry / equilibrium)

    • >14 MPa (wet / saturated)

    • Significantly stronger than fibre-cement, AAC, and concrete panels

  • • Maximum concentrated load:

    – 2.7 kN (residential) at up to 600 mm joist centres

    – 4.5 kN (commercial) at up to 600 mm joist centres

    • Uniformly distributed load:

    – 7.5 kPa at up to 600 mm joist centres

    • Detailed application-specific limits are provided in the Design & Load Tables

APPLICATIONS

  • • Residential and commercial buildings

    • Internal dry areas

    • Wet areas (bathrooms, laundries)

    • External areas (balconies, decks) when correctly detailed

    • Over timber or light-gauge steel frames

  • • Tiles (direct-stick or over mortar bed)

    • Vinyl, carpet, laminate, engineered timber

    • Waterproofing membranes suitable to AS 4654

  • • Yes

    • Applications outside those listed in the Design & Load Tables are not permitted

    • Storage, industrial or high-point-load uses may require engineering review

COMPLIANCE & TESTING

  • • Yes

    • Deemed-to-Satisfy structural compliance for flooring loads

    • Referenced to AS/NZS 1170.1 Table 3.1

  • • AS/NZS 2908.2 (strength & durability)

    • AS 1530.1 (combustibility)

    • AS 1530.3 (fire hazard indices)

    • AS/NZS 3837 (heat & smoke release)

    • ASTM & ISO standards for thermal and durability properties

    • Refer to the “Physical Properties” document

WARRANTY

  • • 10-year product warranty supplied by Ecobuild Solutions

  • • Manufacturing defects

    • Material degradation under normal service conditions

  • • Non-compliant installation

    • Incorrect storage or exposure to weather

    • Use of unapproved fasteners, adhesives or waterproofing

    • Structural design outside published limits

COMPARISONS

  • • Much higher bending strength

    • Similar moisture movement

    • Safer to cut (less than 1 % crystalline silica)

    • Far more cost effective

  • • Up to 5× stronger in bending

    • Lighter and easier to handle

    • Lower overall installation cost

    • Superior thermal mass performance

SAFETY & FIRE PERFORMANCE

  • • Yes

    • Tested to AS 1530.1 and classified as non-combustible

  • • No

    • Zero spread of flame

    • Zero heat evolved

    • Very low smoke development

  • • Yes

    • Less than 1 % crystalline silica

    • No asbestos

    • Standard PPE and dust extraction required when cutting

ACOUSTIC & THERMAL PERFORMANCE

  • • Yes

    • High density and mass improve airborne and impact sound performance

    • Performance is further enhanced when combined with acoustic insulation and floor finishes

  • • ~60 kJ/m²·K
